SOMETIMES SECOND CHANCES DO COME ALONG!
Fighting Anxiety, Depression & Addiction and WINNING!
The path to Healing and Recovery is filled with twists & turns.
I invite you on my journey, where I beat the odds. I found a way to heal myself from the inside out with Art & Music multiplied by an incredible will to survive
This book chronicles the true-life story of Rick Cheadle. Its full of triumph and tragedy: tears and tribulation. The pain of being bullied, followed by anxiety, depression, and addiction. A violent, brutal attack and the PTSD that resulted.
The struggle to reach sobriety and how Art and Music healed his body and mind. Then there’s the beautiful soul that appeared and made it all worthwhile. This book was written to let others know they are not alone in life’s battles.
Rick hopes telling this very personal story will encourage those struggling with similar vices to start the chain of events that lead to healing and recovery. This is a story like no other filled with twists and turns.
A must read to appreciate what a person can actually live through and come out with the title SURVIVOR. It is possible to be the HERO in your own life story!

Very inspirational! I found this book to be very inspirational. A battle without the current tools and methods available but enough self awareness to know it was time to move forward and break a cycle of addiction and cope with trauma that never really stays buried....trauma always finds a way to manifest. Kudos to the author for knowing when enough is enough and to the wife that stayed by his side, and for the courage to tell a story that may help others.

Perseverance
Rick's YT channel was my first exposure to dirty pours; I was fascinated. As a young, new artist I reached out to Rick on a whim for some advice. True to his word on page 84 of this book (7:30-8am) he answered my question! I was ecstatic. Ironically, the answer I sought had to do with page 100: Gesso! I haven't read a book in years; I read this in one day. I related to so much. Rick is a true survivor and the world needs his art. Rick - Thank you for answering me back in 2018. Best wishes to you.

Healing takes courage and we all have courage even if we have to dig deep to find it...
I like the guidelines you set for yourself and the tools you provide for your readers. There is healing in the aftermath of ones deepest wounds. Coming to awareness of ones own mental health is challenging yet rewarding and you portray that beautifully in your words. Stand tall (pun intended 😂) and walk tall on the inside. Reading your book brought me sadness, understanding, happiness, determination and above all hope. I am just one of many that will be touched by your words. Many blessings and good wishes your way my friend 🌹
