There are a lot of ways songs come into existence.
Some people wake up with a melody already fully formed. Paul McCartney famously heard Yesterday in his head before he ever touched an instrument.
Sometimes a song starts with a single note.
Sometimes it starts with a broken chord.
Sometimes it starts with lyrics.
Sometimes it starts with a rhythm, a groove, or a feeling you cannot explain yet.
This one started differently.
I was just messing around with fingerings. No plan. No structure. Just exploring the strings. Then a sound showed up that made me stop. That sound became the anchor. From there, I started piecing things together slowly. No pressure to finish. Just listening and responding.
The video is seven minutes long. It shows only the assembly phase of a possible song. Nothing polished. No performance mindset. Just capturing the moment where something begins to take shape.
I always record these sessions. Always.
Because if I do not, I will forget exactly what I did. And I know that for a fact.
This is not about songwriting rules.
It is about paying attention when a sound asks to be built on.
